Teale Lecture Series: Public Participation and Policy-Making in an Environment and Climate Emergency (Patrick Devine-Wright)

Thursday, December 2, 2021
4:00pm – 5:00pm

Patrick Devine-Wright, Professor of Human Geography, University of Exeter, United Kingdom. "Public participation and policy-making in an environment and climate emergency."

The Edwin Way Teale Lecture Series —"Nature and the Environment"— honors the legacy of a prominent American naturalist, photographer, and writer who helped bridge the gap between the conservation and ecological movements of the 20th century. The Teale Series developed as a joint effort of a number of departments, out of discussions initiated in 1995 by faculty members and graduate students with common interests in the many facets of environmental issues.

The Lecture Series is designed to bring a variety of distinguished lecturers to the University to speak on various aspects of nature and the environment. All lectures are free and open to the public. Due to COVID-19, all lectures for the Fall 2021 semester will be presented virtually. "Watch Live" links will be posted when available, usually within 48 hours of the event. Recorded lectures for current and past lecture series are available below. New recordings may take up to a week to post. Learn more here:
